Meaning behind the Lotus
The Lotus is rooted in mud and born from the swamp
Though it remains resilient to its surrounding environment
It will dip into darkness and bloom the next morning untouched by the dirt
Holding no residue, the petals gleam
Healing and growth are possible no matter the depth of our darkness.
The lotus flower mirrors the trauma survivor’s recovery journey and reminds us that healing and growth are possible no matter the depth of the darkness of our past. If given the right support and environment, the survivor once trapped in dark isolation, can thrive and rise.
